Description
A guy walks into a bar on a weekday afternoon. The place is empty except him and the bartender. The guy sits down, and orders a soda. As he sits there drinking, he hears a tiny friendly voice say “that shirt looks great on you!” The guy looks around and doesn’t see anyone besides the bartender at the end of the bar. So he goes back to his soda. A few sips later, he hears a voice again, “I really like what you’ve done with your hair!” The guy looks around again, still doesn’t see anyone, even the bartender who went in the back for a moment. The guy rubs his ears, and just as he’s about to take another sip of his soda he hears the voice again, “You know, you make today a great day, just by being you.” Finally, the guy calls to the bartender. “Hey…Did you put something in my drink? Am I losing my mind? I keep hearing these voices saying nice things, but this place is empty except you and me!”
“Ah, oh yeah. It’s the peanuts,” says the bartender.
“What?” says the guy.
“The peanuts” says the bartender, “… They’re complimentary.”
